  Big news from the mighty Snork Enterprises which sees them re-release four classic nineties techno tracks by one of the scene’s best loved producers Mr Neil Landstrumm. The four tracks featuring on the record are Vectrex, Praline Horse, Split Loyalties and Indulge Me, generally regarded as four of Landstrumm’s stand out tracks and definitely the sound of UK techno at the time.
  
  According to the don himself “It’s an EP of some of the most influential tracks of the alternative UK techno sound from the 1990s. The UK school of techno was wildly different to the more accepted Detroit techno imports of the time, gnashing its teeth to an altogether more alternative and cracked out beat. The whole point of it was to sound as different and unique as possible. Standing out was the ‘thing’ then, not the business techno of today.”
  
  Snork Enterprises founder Christian Schachta, aka Syntax Error, reflected on how it’s a fairly poignant moment for the label, stating that “This release is highly emotional because it reflects the very roots of Snork Enterprises. Neil was one of the artists who have influenced the sound of the label the most, and especially those four tracks have always belonged to my top favourite ones. As soon as I sensed there was a chance of putting them altogether on one record as a re-release, I could not withhold myself but give it a try and finally and fortunately publish one of the most important Snork Enterprises releases of all times – for the label and for me personally.”
  
  To be honest I couldn’t agree with him more, these are up there as some of my favourite Landstrumm tracks as well. Indulge Me in particular – what an absolute banger of a record, so weird and wonderful, as all these tracks are really, and while I love a lot of straight techno, this quite frankly is a cut above a lot of stuff being made today. It’s great to see them getting reissued though which will hopefully open them up to a new generation of techno listeners.
