about

This was produced during the period 2010-2013 when J D Twitch and I were writing the Doubleheart records . Keith came round one week and suggested doing a cover of a track called 'Electric Heat' by Edinburgh post-punk band 'Visitors' from 1979. John Peel financially backed some recordings and gave them their own Peel Session but the band folded in '81 before recording their debut LP for 4AD with whom they had signed. The 7" Keith had brought round of the EP sounded great so i made some sections in the studio, we sequenced it and finished off the cover version . Nothing more was done with it at the time as it didn't really fit with the other Doubleheart material but I always remembered it as an interesting track. I loved the references in the lyrics to Philip K Dicks " Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". I found it the other day on a hard drive so I polished it up and asked Keith if I could stick it out.... he agreed.
